Update Memo

The following report outlines new developments in the past three months and the state of on-going developments.

In the last few months, the tender for domestic long-distance telephone operators demonstrates the potential for the development of further alternative telecommunication networks in Poland.

1. Railway Networks: PKP Dyrekcja Telekomunikacji Kolejowej Lublin and Koltel Bydgoszcz have issued a call for tenders to domestic long-distance telephone operators. The consortium NG Koleje Telekomunikacja Co Ltd. Includes Polskie Koleje Panstwowe - PKP (The Polish Railways), National Grid (the British power consortium), its Filia Energies, and Centrala sp z o.o. (dependent of the Polish Telecom Operators - PTO).

2. Energy Supply Networks: Niezalezny Operator Miedzystrefowy is a consortium that consists of Tel-Energo, Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne and Polski Koncern Naftowy.

3. Netia 1 Sp. z o.o. (Co Ltd) is a consortium of Netia Holdings and its 6 dependent companies, BRE Bank S.A., PKO BP and Stoen S.A.
