Update April 2000: Morocco

1. Public Sector

Mr Mohamed El HAJJI has just left the financial management of Maroc Telecom to take up central management of pole resources. Holder of a DECS, he joined Maroc Telecom in 1984 as head of operations department and has just replaced Karim BERNOUSSI who resigned from his position following several disagreements with the general management.

Mr Ahmed El Attat, until now regional director of Maroc Telecom in Oujda heads the regional management of Settat replacing Ahmed FARES who is retiring.

Mr Hassan Rachad former manager at CEPT(centre of technical exploitation) has been promoted to the head of regional management of Oujda. Many job alterations regarding mainly divisional head and department heads have been carried out following the nomination of Mohamed ELHAJJI at the head of pole resources.

2. Professional Associations and Consular Bodies

Mr Larbi GUEDIRA, main director of the commercial pole at Maroc Telecom has just been elected President of ANIT (National Association of Telecommunications Engineers ).

Mr Khalid ELHARIRY has been elected president of the Professional Association of TI and replaces the ex-president Mr Fouad BRINI

3. Telecom Operators and ISP's

Mr Zakaria RBII former director of human resources at Unilever Maroc has been appointed Director of Human Resources at Medi Telecom.

Mr Mohammed BENKAMOUN former assistant director at ANRT has left the company to set up his own business.
