Update November 2000: FYR Macedonia

Summary: On July 28^th, 2000 the Parliament elected a new Government. Instead of 21, the new Government will now be composed of 14 ministries. This restructuring of the Government is in compliance with the adoption of the Law on organisation and work of the state administrative bodies.

Some assistant ministries can merge in near future and new key persons for the Information Society can show up.

1. Ministries and Governmental Organisations:

Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science are reorganised into the Ministry of Education and Science. Dr. Gale Galev is a new minister (former minister of Education).

Ministry of Transport and Communications and part of the Ministry of Urbanism and Construction are reorganised into the Ministry of Traffic and Communications. Mr. Ljupco Balkoski is the new minister

2. Private companies, potential infrastructure providers:

On August 2000, the private company Direct Communication quitted with the operation.
