The original ESIS project covered the EU Member States for the period 1997-1999; the last reports were published in January 1999. Because they offer comprehensive information on European developments of the Information Society, the reports are still available for consultation in this section, and access is provided via the ESIS search engine.

An update campaign is in progress as far as IS projects included in the database are concerned. Two new reports are now available: a Report on public IS strategies (October 2000) and a Report on Information Society indicators in the European Union (November 2000)
