Through the Sulinet Program, all the Hungarian secondary schools posses Internet accessibility, but not every single has own website. According to the plan, also the primary schools will be totally covered with Internet access. The collecting of the websites of the primary and the secondary schools was attained by own initiative (Péterné Király -KFKI). In case the educational establishments are on the Net or construct own World Wide Web site, etc. they continuously send their data to the ‘collection’. Consequently, our source cannot be considered administrative but the database may be suitable to indicate the proportions.

There is a very interesting situation in the scope of the institutions of university education. In our first report (10/99 – 04/00) the web representations were examined by the results of ninety universities and colleges approximately. This situation has changed radically by the integration of the Hungarian university educations. Whereas the analogous institutions are merged, only thirty institutes have got perfect web representations in the meantime.

The ministries were always presented in hundred per cent on the World Wide Web. All the ministerial sites can be found on the homepage of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office. To examine the countries’ representation was the most difficult task in point of the correct data. With respect to the websites of the 3000 local governments of villages, there is no final result, because it was difficult to ascertain whether the current site was administrative or not. As well as neither the operator, nor the employer was designated. Furthermore, the sites frequently disappear without any reasons recorded, and later return again and again, etc.

The counties were always found completely on the Net. On the other hand, the districts in the capital have got 60 per cent official homepages.

As respects the numbers of hospitals, in conflict with the previous data, the new results have arrived from the Central Statistical Office, and changed the relations of the last quarter. The representation of the hospitals in the capital is convenient, but there is still no correct statistics with respect to the provincial hospitals. The health policies battle against so many problems (few hospital beds, low salaries, etc.), consequently it is comprehensible that not the absence of the web representation is temporarily the main problem for the hospitals.

The museums could bear 20 per cent representations from the beginning to end.

The essential point for the libraries is that even the current competent does not have data about how many libraries are there in Hungary. There are about 3000 – 3600 libraries in settlements, but according to an other estimate, some thinks that there are much more libraries, about 5000 in reality. In point of the homepages of the libraries there is a reliable data, that indicates a significant increase, principally in the last quarter.
