The number of sites have only increased marginally in line excepting for the number of further and higher educational sites which has increased sharply mainly due to private school initiatives. The number of municipalities has changed due to more accurate information being supplied by mincom.gov.ma. The number of sites registered with the Moroccan government has increased to 785 as of the 25th of September, a nine percent increase over the last quarter.
Four continuing trends should contribute significantly to the growth of Moroccan sites in the immediate future:
- A new professional site aiming at calls for offer, Maroc-Business (subsidiary of Itissal Technology) is now online. It puts onto the market prepaid cards for the subscribed, a new site for business opportunities and a web directory for the furnishers.
- A new portal, Salamali.com, has been designed to develop sales, renting, car sales and bids on the web.
- A new site, JobMaroc, managed by the Casablanca start-up B-link management, proposes job offers, job forums and skill profiles.
- A new start-up, Redstone technology, based on developing solutions for e-commerce (Business to Business and Business to Consumer).
