Following the registration of the Palestinian top-level-domain ".ps", a Palestinian team joined by international experts began the process of accessing the requirements for setting up the institutional and technical structures needed to regulate and operate the newly awarded domain. During the planning phase it had been agreed that no non-governmental domain names would be registered under .ps until the complete plan is in place. On the other hand, some governmental websites appear under this domain. A few months ago, most of Ministries' official web pages could be found under the Palestinian National Authority website (www.pna.net), however, now many ministries are transferring their website under a unique Internet address in the .gov.ps domain. Below you will find a list of the available ministerial websites, and it is expected that more websites will be added in the next quarter.
There has also been a readjustment for the figure of secondary and university population. This was due to an earlier confusion regarding the definition of this category, which now includes only post-high school (tawjihi) institutions. Therefore, the website of Al-Hashimyyah secondary school, Al- Bireh, (home.palnet.com/~hashmyah) has been added to this category.
A few more Municipal websites have been discovered recently. These websites are: Salfeet Municipality (www.salfeet.org), Gaza Municipality (www.mogaza.org), and Qalqilya Municipality (www.qalqilya.com).
The ArabCare Hospital (www.arabcare.com/hospital) has been added to the hospitals/clinics category.
