Special note

 The ESIS project has ended on March 1st 2001 with the release on the site of the 7th delivery of reports. 
 
ESIS stands for "European Survey of Information Society Projects and Actions"
ESIS 1 covered the 15 EU Member States between 1997 and 1999. A partial update process is on-going (see Nota).
ESIS 2 is the extension to 25 countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean area (1999 - 2001). 
ESIS is funded by the PROMISE programme.
